Little Dutch Boy

Little Peanut enjoyed his first Tulip Time this past week. We started the week off by getting junk food and watching the fireworks at the TerHorsts. He woke up from the fireworks and was mesmerized by them for a few minutes before falling back to sleep. LP tried cotton candy and a caramel apple for the first time. He didn't care much about the cotton candy, but he LOVED the caramel apple. It was quite cute to watch him grab after the apple.

Later in the week, on Thursday, we went to watch the Kinder Parade. A group of us have gotten together to watch the parade for as long as I can remember. We started watching the parade with Ann TerHorst and her children and our family. Now there are many more of us (mostly kids:)) and the tradition continues. This year, Brad's mom, Sheila, and sister, Brenda, and nephew, Elijah, came along for the fun. This was Sheila and Brenda's first time at Tulip Time...can you believe it?! The weather turned out to be absolutely gorgeous and we had a wonderful time!

  1. It's hard to believe that some people haven't ever experienced Tulip Time, isn't it?! :-) LP looks adorable in his costume!! Too bad him and Layla didn't run into each other downtown!
